There is a truly sick obsession in our culture of permeating every aspect of a child’s life with the gender-bending agenda.
Children are supposedly trying to change their gender in record numbers, sex ed classes are saturated with discussions of gender identity, drag queens are hosting story time at public libraries and nursery schools, children are participating in drag festivals, and toddlers encouraged to “try on” different genders.
So, sooner or later, the iconic Disney princess was bound to be corrupted by this mess.
Enter the Disney XD show, “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” which already broke barriers by featuring a gay kiss in a previous season.
The animated show is now being hailed by LGBT groups for featuring Disney’s first ever boy princess in the form of a boy, Marco Diaz, who disguises himself as the princess “Turdina” only to be defended by the other girls when he is discovered.
The website EW.com reports that “Marco is about to reveal his truth to the students when Ms. Heinous storms in and outs him herself, pulling down his shirt to reveal a strand of chest hair.”
“But the other princesses stand by Marco’s side…’That doesn’t prove anything. Princesses can be hairy,’ one princess shouts. ‘Why does it matter if he’s a boy? Nothing he said was wrong,’ another exclaims.’”
More cries of “Turdina is a state of mind” and “He can be a princess if he wants to!” drive the point home.
The Huffington Post’s Queer Voices section called this scene a “beautiful moment and one that could be incredibly influential for kids who are soaking up social cues about what it means to be a boy or a girl ― or any gender in between ― and what supposedly is or isn’t possible because of how they identify.”
The American Family Association, on the other hand, warned that this kind of display in a kids show was anything but beautiful.
“It is not Disney’s place to assume the role of parents deciding when to confront children with alternative lifestyles. I’m not saying that it’s wrong for children to know that gays and lesbians exist, only that parents should be the ones to tell them. Disney should not circumvent parents on this matter,” said Ed Vitagliano, AFA executive vice president.
“It has grave — and perhaps eternal — consequences.”
Opening this floodgate for young children could indeed have eternal consequences, for the children who witness it and those who shove it in their young minds.
As Jesus said, “If anyone causes one of these little ones–those who believe in me–to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” (Matthew 18:5 NIV)
